The Structureof their magnetic relay is such that they present great impendence level to Short Circuit currents. This allow the Short Circuit current values to be cut down to low levels.[ lower then 1/3 of the prospective fault level]. Thus reducing the let through energy to the lowest level. The 12 plates arching chamber along with arc runner is so designed, that the gases are cooled quickly enough to enable the MCB to clear 10KA Short Circuit successfully.
